The 7″ Silver Bright LCD displays four shades of gray to represent the radar echoes to aid in navigation.

In order to provide optimal target detection, the rotation speed of the antenna will automatically change. This speed change depends on the range selected for the optimum target detection that you choose.

Mount the waterproof, compact display screen either on a table or it also allows for panel mounting so that you can choose to view from the open fly bridge or the cockpit.

The Furuno 1715 radar has a power saving Watchman feature which is quite useful. While in this mode, the transmission is off and the antenna is stopped, while the screen displays only the navigation information. The radar will then “wake up” at designated time interval (5, 10 or 20 min) and will operate for one minute. If a certain target comes into the Guard Zone, you will hear an alarm go off and the radar will then return to its usual operating mode, which will cancel out the Watchman mode. You also have the option to set the alarm to go off when a target is leaving the Guard Zone.
